Description:
Two scholarships (one $250, one $100) will be awarded to graduating Delaware Valley High School students who will be attending an accredited two or four year institution of higher education. An additional $50 scholarship will be awarded at random to an applicant just for applying.
Requirement:
Imagine you are one of the Pike County Commissioners. If you had to pick one issue to work on that directly affects young people in the county, what would it be and what would you do? Submissions should be at least 500 words.
Submissions may be turned in to the Delaware Valley High School guidance office or through email to pcyc@pikeyouth.org.
Judging:
Favorable submissions will include evidence of research in identifying the issue and critical thinking in solving it. Winning submissions will be featured at the Pike County Youth Coalition’s annual dinner in front of community leaders and presented to the Pike County Commissioners.
Applicants do not need to be a member of the Pike County Youth Coalition. Members in leadership positions of the organization, or are in the immediate family of those who are, are not permitted to apply.

Apply for a Pike County Youth Coalition mini-grant! Whether that comes in the form of an Eagle Scout project or an educational event, we want to support young people making a difference in our community.
Grants range from $50-$500 and are awarded on a rolling basis. Check back soon for an application, or email us.
Recognizing Youth Leadership:
Young people are doing amazing things in Pike County, and we want to recognize their efforts. Whether or member of PCYC or not, we’re looking for that young person who has achieved something that deserves a pat on the back.
Once per month, the PCYC will choose one pike youth to receive the “Young Leader” award, which will include a small gift certificate to a local business.
