The Pike County Youth Coalition (PCYC) was founded in December, 2007 by a group of twenty students and alumni of Delaware Valley High School in Milford, Pennsylvania.
In March of 2008, the PCYC was incorporated as a non-profit organization. In May, the organization elected its first board of directors and appointed its officers, all of whom are between the ages of 16 and 24.
On June 8th, 2008 the PCYC officially kicked off with its launch dinner attended by community civic and business leaders.
The Pike County Youth Coalition is an entirely youth-led non-profit organization that exists to both serve as a resource for young people and mobilize young people to improve the community. The organization is led by a seven member Board of Directors and managed by five Executive Officers, all between the ages of 16 and 24.
PCYC has meetings once per month at Matamoras Borough Hall that are open to the public. Meeting dates and times are listed on our homepage. Membership is open to all Pike County residents under the age of 24, and dues are assessed at $5 per year. Those over 24 years old can become a Friend of PCYC for annual dues of $10.
